After being kidnapped and held for ransom by terrorists, young Samuel Cor was rescued only to be recruited by the Cowled, a shadow organization responsible for training bright minds for a dark future. Excelling in all categories, Samuel fell short during his final test, the Blitz, where he learned the dangers of relying on others, emotionally or otherwise. Redoubling his efforts, he graduated and reentered the world with the intention of helping the less fortunate, opting to the adopt the name of the trial that’d built him into a warrior.

Background
Samuel Cor was ten-years-old and son of an American ambassador when the Maws of Set kidnapped him during a trip to Jordan. A CTU tracked Samuel down and moved to release him. During the operation, Samuel killed one of his captors, catching the attention of CTU leader and Cowled agent Nathan Balabanov. Instead of reuniting the boy with his family, Balabanov decided to fabricate Sam’s death and instead bring him to the City of Cowl where several years of training awaited him. Although Cowled Headmaster Wrathgar objected to Sam’s application, he eventually yielded, charging Balabanov with Sam’s personal development.
Samuel was submitted to the American House where he trained alongside agents like Riley Holmes and Felicia Controve. He also bonded with Peter Stork of the European House, Gabriel Da’wan of the African House, and Kara Wong of the Asian House.
Samuel chose proficiency with twin wakizashi and hand-to-hand combat. While never as rebellious as other students, he resisted authority and voiced concerns with Cowl’s objective to train minds in preparation for an only possible dark future. Balabanov never dismissed Samuel’s concerns, urging him instead to seek early graduation and help the outside world as soon as he could. Samuel attempted to pass the graduation test known as the Blitz, but ended up failing, staying within the city and prolonging his training by another year.
During his extended training, Samuel and fellow student Kara Wong developed emotional ties as she decided to help him with his next attempt at the Blitz. Succeeding the second time, Samuel adopted the codename Blitz and stationed himself with Kara in the City of Portland, Maine. There, the two of them began vigilante activities, including fighting against the Nitro Syndicate where former colleague Peter Stork had taken up employment.
Samuel and Kara worked as a team alongside other heroes during the Bloodmoon Event, and their efforts were later rewarded with an invitation to join the Peacemakers. Samuel accepted, choosing to use his combat abilities to help those less fortunate than himself as he sought to bring safety and reassurance to the world on his own terms.
