Background
Jake Evo enlisted in the military at the age of seventeen. He served three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq before returning home. His former commanding officer, Gregory Selvick, suggested that Jake should volunteer for something called Project Arc. He did so, and it wasn’t what he was expecting. Archer, a masked hero funded by the government, was helping to create the A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association. Jake was accepted into the project and was immediately given the title of second-in-command, with only Archer ranking higher. “Captain” Jake Evo performed his duties expertly and earned much respect from his agents and superiors. He was a trustworthy and loyal soldier.
That’s why his betrayal was unforeseen. In 2014 A.R.C.H.E.R.S. was involved with Gentex Labs in an argument over the substance Crazcorakanite. Crazcorakanite, and strange and unnatural drug, similar in its consistency to blood, could arguably be used to create super soldiers. But the extent of the drug’s effects were unknown, and experimentation was prohibited. Jake Evo, intrigued, and slightly power hungry, injected himself with the Crazcorakanite in hopes of becoming a super soldier. The stuff he injected himself with, however, was not pure Crazcorakanite but a diluted and watered-down version of the drug. Jake’s adrenal and cardiac systems were shocked, suddenly working harder than ever before. Even the war hadn’t given Jake this much rush.
He ran. When A.R.C.H.E.R.S. agents found him in possession of the drug, shortly after his injection, they chased him out and pursued him as he attempted to escape through downtown Dover. In his hurried and high state he didn’t notice the teenagers in front of him, and he hit one full force. The injured teenager, Jason Koracar, was lucky to survive.
Jake was caught and put on trial. After serving eighteen months in prison he was released. His political position and esteemed reputation had earned him only a reduced sentence, which he quickly carried out. But he was fired from A.R.C.H.E.R.S. It was a tough decision for Archer to make, but he could no longer work with an untrustworthy man. Evo, enraged by this decision, swore revenge against Archer and his organization, promising to tear A.R.C.H.E.R.S. down and watch it burn.
Jake gathered a hired gang of mercenaries and old military buddies to take down A.R.C.H.E.R.S. They were equipped with the latest military gear, and they spent months preparing for their siege. Jake affectionately named the group the Anti-A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association. Eventually the name would be shortened to AAA, and then to Trinity Alpha.

Jason Koracar, the Redclaw
But retribution interfered. Jason Koracar had lost his arm after Evo had driven him down. After his Reclaw crisis, Jason focused all his time and resources on finding Evo and exacting his revenge. Jason, now called Redclaw, tracked Evo to an abandoned warehouse that the Anti-A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association had restored. Armed with an assortment of weapons and gear, Reclaw attacked. But he wasn’t anticipating the faction’s strength. Jason stumbled in as Evo was debriefing his team on the siege. Jason was captured and interrogated.
But he wasn’t alone. Barbarian, a new hero, crashed in to save the day. He freed Redclaw, and the two of them retreated while holding Trinity Alpha at bay. Barbarian escaped, but Jason stayed when he hear Jake Evo’s taunt. The two enemies faced off, willing to fight to the death.
Evo had several explosives rigged to and hidden in the warehouse. The rest of Trinity Alpha, safely evacuated, was waiting for Evo’s signal to blow the building up. Jake and Jason engaged in battle, and Redclaw broke Evo’s arm. Jason ran, trying to escape, and Evo signaled to blow the place up. Jason escaped. Jake didn’t.
Jake Evo awoke several weeks later in a laboratory. Scientists were experimenting on him. In sudden and insane rage Evo killed the scientists and freed himself. A prosthetic arm and leg replaced the limbs he had lost in the explosion. S.K.U.L.L. had not only saved Evo but augmented him. He was something new. Something evolved.
Now known as Captain EVOlution, Jake reclaimed his position as Trinity Alpha’s leader.
