Background

Issachar Nitrovar is the son of Russian Refugees who fled to America. Raised in Boston, he later moved to Augusta and attended the University of Maine.

He dropped out of college on his senior year and sought to repay gambling debts he had accumulated. He turned to crime to get the money, but he stayed under the radar and was never caught.

He hired three close college friends to help him repay his debt, but even when he was out of the red Issachar didn’t leave the game. He became obsessed with the underworld and devised new plans on how to exploit it to make money. His small band of criminals grew into a crime guild called Nitro.

Nitro specialized in weapons and drug smuggling, and Issachar was even granted access to the Blue Market. The guild grew until it controlled a substantial section of New England’s underworld, and Issachar was always at the helm of the growing faction.

Fun Fact: Issachar sounds like the Hebrew word for reward.

Issachar then turned to strengthening himself and his mind. He studied in all fields, from psychology to strategy, and participated in Red Room battles to build his body. Issahcar hired the mercenary Spike as a bodyguard and personal assassin. This, and his own reputation, meant that no one challenged him.

Issachar gains more power and money every day, and despite the attempts of police and heroes alike to stop him, no one has even come close to bringing down his empire.
