Nitro, or the Nitro Crime Syndicate, is a criminal’s guild founded by Issachar Nitrovar, Ezio Herring, and Michael Danovich in the late 1970’s. The syndicate specializes in weapon manufacturing, selling, and smuggling, as well as drug dealing and smuggling. Nitro notably joined the Blue Market in support of several other criminal organizations and factions including S.KU.L.L., Trinity Alpha, and the Black Cross.

Nitro was founded by Issachar Nitrovar in the late 2000s. Issachar, an accomplished criminal and gambler, started Nitro as a way to gather and steal money for himself. Issachar and three close friends started the gang and quietly stole money from banks as the heroes and villains of the Dawn Era began arising. Nitro grew, and soon the gang grew into a crime guild. Issachar, always a visionary, and seeing how Nitro was growing, realized that he could do so much more than petty theft.

Issachar Nitrovar and Ezio Herring were Russian transfer students studying at an Ivy League college in the United States. In their sophomore year, they partnered with their American-born friend Michael Danovich to begin forging bank notes for easy cash. By the time they graduated, the three had forged $288,000 dollar’s worth of cash and bank notes. After graduation, Nitrovar continued with the illegal practises and named the operation after himself: Nitro. Herring stayed included in Nitrovar’s plans while taking an accounting job in New York. Danovich moved out of country and distanced himself from the operations.

After several years, Nitrovar began bringing other criminal’s on board, forming what would become the Nitro syndicate. Nitrovar, always the ambitious visionary, saw how the group was growing and diversified his operations. Nitro began dabbling in arms deals and drug trafficking. It wasn’t long before Nitro claimed a substantial part of New England’s underworld. Issachar hired Spike as a bodyguard, and soon the Cowled. graduate became a full time member of the guild.

Ezio Herring’s connections with Nitro caught the attention of the FBI and A.R.C.H.E.R.S., leading to an investigation into his business. In March of 2008, federal officers were prepared to arrest Ezio for his involvement with the syndicate when Herring was killed by Mortem in a house raid. This prevented the federal government from collecting evidence on Nitro’s activities, and the group carried on.

In the early 2010’s, when Nitro’s weapon manufacturing was in full swing, Issachar was approached by Shawn Tabitha and asked to join the Blue Market. This granted Nitro access to Trinity Alpha resources and even S.K.U.L.L. research, upgrading the entire group’s materials and money.

From a gambler’s humble beginnings came a criminal empire. Issachar Nitrovar remained one of the most powerful men in the greater seacoast area, leading one of the most powerful groups.
