Within the TimberW0lf Universe, on Earth and beyond, dwell a number of races and species of distinguished nature. Below is a beginner’s guide to the sentient humanoid and non-humans found across the various worlds and planes of the Timberverse.
Humans

By rights the oldest species in the known universe, humans originated on the First World of Earth, but populate several other planets as well. Also found on the worlds of Saron and Phalanx, humans have long been the standard for intelligence, strength, and perseverance. They are as notable for their diversity as they are for their willpower.
Superhumans
Also known as metahumans or elites, superhumans are a deviation of the standard human species in a variety of ways. With classification dependent on their particular deviations, superhuman abilities vary from heightened senses to extreme manipulations of cosmic power. Superhumans are typically categorized as any reasonably recognizable human being with an inherent and controllable ability unobtainable by normal human standards. Examples of some superhumans include the Wolf-Man, Winterspell, the Immortals Arshaka and Mykala, and most members of the Xero Squadron.

Malains

A humanoid race from the planet Lauria, Malains walk the fine line between alien species and human deviants. With remarkably human features and standard strength and intelligence, the Malains differ from Terran humans in two significant ways: a neural evolution resulting in a compulsively generated interest in exploration and navigation, and a physiological evolution in the foot of the species resulting in an enlarged Achilles tendon and hypercartilagation in the toes. Their joint craving for knowledge, especially regarding navigation, resulted in species-wide efforts to achieve advanced space travel–efforts which culminated in successful cosmic transportation and teleportation during the global Sivilence Wars.
Archangels
Originally from the Fifty-Second World of Saron, Archangels are distinguished by their dual pairs of wings, extreme paleness, and superhuman strength and speed. Archangel mythology details the genealogical descent of Lukas, a Seraph turned defender of his world who inflicted a curse upon himself and the first three generations of his kin. The remaining Archangels built an empire in the sky and set about their self-appointed task of guarding Saron in their ancestor’s stead. Centuries after their origination, the Archangels waged war unto extinction against their cousin race the Cronozears. At the conclusion of their war, the remaining Archangel royalty was exiled to Earth along with the Stalker, a fear-feeding entity that ensured the Archangels would never age during their exile.
