Background
Crazcorac, or Craz, and Mykila were children of ancient Babylonian parents, who were also secret alchemists. Crazcorac’s father was a palace guard and Mykila’s mother sold herbs and medicines out of their home. Crazcorac would accompany his father as an assistant guard for most of the day as Mykila practiced herbology with her mother, before she tragically past away due to illness.
One day, though, the Babylonian Empire fell. The Persians invaded, killing high nobility and any who opposed them. Crazcorac and his father had been posted by the sewers that night, where the enemy snuck into the walls. Crazcorac’s father was murdered while Craz himself lost an arm and was left for dead. In the midst of panic and chaos Crazcorac dragged himself home where Mykila was. Crazcorac, nearing death, brought Mykila to their parents’ laboratory where they injected themselves with a serum their parents had concocted. Craz also fitted himself with an automatic arm they had created. Crazcorac quickly healed from his wounds and survived.
They both scavenged their house and the lab for supplies before burning the lab, securing its secrets in the ash. The serum had adverse effects on their body, causing mental stress and hallucinations in the few weeks that followed, which the PTSD contributed to. The serum put them both into a prime state of physicality, something Crazcorac quickly took to, but Mykila felt uneasy about. But the final effect of the serum was the greatest and most devastating: Immortality.
Crazcorac and Mykila aged one-five-hundredth that of normal humans. They got to a point where they no longer considered themselves human. They traversed the globe, learning and mastering every skill available. After the incident Crazcorac became stoic, unfeeling, but Mykila had surprisingly less mental scarring.
Crazcorac became Earth’s first superhero, taking on the name Blood-Claw (Sometimes translated Redclaw), and having legends and ballads written about him. But he treasured secrecy, and so these legends faded into obscurity. One particularly special researcher, though, by the name of Jason Koracar, uncovered some of Crazcorac’s legends, and learned the named he was given: Redclaw. This is what inspired Jason to call himself and the artificial intelligence he created by this name.
Crazcorac and Mykila survived well into the twenty-first century, operating in the shadows and ever present. They seldom interfere with anything, but they’re always watching, intrigued by the world.
