The Maws of Set is a terrorist organization based out of Cairo, Egypt. With agents all around the globe, their ideology is rooted in anarchism and the belief that tribalism is the highest and most advanced form of society that any single peoples should be allowed to evolve to. Based on their involvement in several global conflicts, it has also become apparent that their secondary objective as a whole seems to include territorial domination, although for what end is unknown. Conflicting sources speculate on the origins of the organization, and the extend of their membership is also unknown.
The Maws of Set notably interfered during the East Iranian Conflict shortly after the Influenza Epidemic of North America in the early twenty-first century. During this conflict, one of the organization’s higher ranking agents, Avarice, succeeded in decimating an American supply depot used to assist western forces with the war. It was later discovered that this was accomplished using weapons and technology manufactured and distributed by the Nitro Syndicate, a link that director Issachar Nitrovar later admitted to being aware of. Since then, however, no other underlying connections have been made between the Maws of Set and any other faction, group, or organization.

Avarice
Little information is known about Avarice or any other member of the Maws of Set. Avarice appears to have been a key leader in the organization, or at least a more revered fighter among their ranks. Avarice notably sported an advanced military armament including weapons using resonant-enhanced explosive rounds, manufactured by the Nitro Syndicate. Equipped with such deadly force, Avarice was capable of mutilating a squad of American soldiers holding a supply depot for western forces during the Eastern Iranian Conflict. He did not return from this mission alive, however, as he was killed by a still-training Archer during that same battle.
