The Timberverse is an ever-evolving landscape of decision and consequence. From origin stories to world-threatening calamities, below you’ll find everything you need to know about the chronological events of the Timberw0lf Universe.
Pre Historia
The Exogenesis
Near the dawn of recorded human history, a transformative event known as the Exogenesis transpired. Also known as the Interfusion of the Worlds, a rift in spacetime brought visitors from several alien realms to the face of Earth where a cosmic war then tore over the face of the planet. The horror lasted nearly a decade, after which time the portals closed, and participants were either sent back to their own lands or doomed to life amongst the humans. From this Exogenesis came legends of gods, aliens, ghosts, monsters, and wonders far beyond comprehension. Some credit the Interfusion with inspiring a well of myths, including the Greek stories of the Trojan War and even the Nordic concept of Yggdrasil. What’s known for certain is that the event changed some aspects of human existence forever, leaving thousands of Earth-dwellers dead, but a few, like the Babylonians Arshaka and Mykala, blessed with immortality.
Exile of the Twelve Archangels

Millenia later, around the year 1,000 A.D., a group of offworlders known as the Archangels were exiled to Earth from their homeworld, Saron. Bringing with them a cursed being called the Stalker, the Archangels lived out their lives over the course of the next several centuries, their individual paths never quite aligned with one another as they became deities, monarchs, demons, and strangers to different human civilizations.
The Era of Globalization
By the end of the twentieth century, the age of globalization was coming to fruition. With the advent of a premature internet, several organizations began to quietly stake their claim in the digital world-to-come. This is when several groups such as S.K.U.L.L., Nitro, and Gentex Labs came into being.
Meanwhile, millions of lightyears away on the alien planet of Lauria, a global conflict known as the Sivilence Wars brought together the greatest minds for the creation of the Corestones, artifacts capable of harnessing the same power that caused the Exogenesis. As the project neared completion, one of the lead developers vanished during a spacetime teleporter test. It was only the first of many tragedies that plagued the ending project.
The Artilleon Infiltration
At the turn of the millennium, an alien race known as the Artilleons began eyeing Earth as a potential colony world. They sent a handful of genetically modified skinwalker agents to survey the planet and judge its potential for invasion. During this time, military investigator Elizabeth Donovan uncovered the aliens and their plot and worked with a defector, named Moss M’rog, to convince the Artilleons at large to leave Earth alone. The Artilleons eventually relented and retreated, and Donovan began taking precautions should another less-reasonable extraterrestrial force make a hostile move on Earth. Donovan’s efforts eventually led to the creation of the T.A.R.R.G.E.T.T. Agency.
The Influenza Epidemic
At the start of the twenty-first century, a large epidemic of advanced influenza swept over North America. The outbreak crippled national economies and led to several corporations and health providers, such as Orchid Industries & Enterprises and Gentex Laboratories, becoming huge players in the global economy as they stepped up to provide aid. While the epidemic passed over the course of two years, lasting effects–such as these titanic corporations’ holdings and greater national crime averages–still persisted many years later.
The Dawn of Heroes
Several years after the start of the twenty-first century, a flurry of events sparked change in the lives of a group of exceptional people.

Derrick Orekin, founder and CEO of Orchid Industries & Enterprises, was murdered in a terrorist operation gone awry. His son, Jace Orekin, suffered emotional trauma from the loss and wound up inheriting unique abilities not long after the event. Around the same time, two researchers at Gentex Labs concluded their findings on dark matter when an accidental explosion killed both scientists and injuring many passersby. Jace was among the first on the scene to help rescue those trapped and injured by the blast, which was when he first encountered the Death Herald, a mysterious being born out of the calamity. Over the coming months, the two would hone their abilities and assemble teams of skilled individuals (the Wolf Pack and the Black Cross, respectively) for the purpose of defending their opposing ideologies. The Death Herald faced incarceration and the temporary disbanding of the Black Cross after his close defeat during the Wolfeboro Incident. Jace Orekin would later go on to adopt the title of the Wolf-Man.
Around this time, a young father by the name of Jordan Cato met a similarly gruesome end as Derrick Orchid, being shot in the head and dumped in a river. Many suspected his death is what led to his son, Callum, developing a rebellious and pugnacious streak throughout his schoolyears.
An amnesiac recruited by the government became a resourceful and strategic field agent known as the Archer. Through a series of horrific robberies, Archer tracked down the elusive organization known as S.K.U.L.L.. Uncovering their intentions to breed and sell super soldiers all over the globe, Archer managed to single-handedly cripple their operation and send them reeling back into the shadows. It was the first decisive victory for a burgeoning A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association.

A talented young programmer by the name of Richard “Jason” Koracar saved his friend Braeden from a traffic accident but lost his left forearm in the process. After using up all of his meager resources in an attempt to build a replacement limb, he discovered and stole Department of Defense project files and a prototype arm, which turned out to be far more advanced than he could’ve hoped for. What he didn’t realize, however, was that a similarly advanced artificial intelligence had snuck its way into the arm (and, by extension, Richard’s mind) as a means of hiding itself from its original developers. Those original developers (nicknamed the “Worms”), began hunting Richard and the Redclaw Program. Richard ended up taking his own life to destroy the AI and spare Braeden from the torment of the developers.
A troubled young adult, Blake Morrison, worked a steady 9-8 job at the local pharmacy, only dealing with day-to-day patients and his own drug addiction when the Stalker showed up to his house. Blake, having dealt with chronic anxiety his whole life, was the unfortunate perfect prey for the Stalker, a being which feeds on fear. To prevent becoming its victim, Blake made a deal with the Stalker to become its host instead, and began a long and ultimately terrific path to finding his own courage.
During these same years, renowned doctor Henry Pool would adopt the moniker Mortem as he took to the streets to silently track down and murder various criminals. His targets escalated in notoriety until he wound up in the throes of an active investigation between the FBI and the Nitro Syndicate. Only the intervention of the A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association managed to provide Pool safety as he continued his crusade as a vigilante, despite his public branding as a serial killer.
The Dawn of Heroes proved to be an exciting if not terrifying time for those involved. While mistakes were made by the newborn heroes, they gradually found their way towards noble and efficacious endeavors to deter crime and evil. Scuffles and skirmishes were common at this time, even between heroes, and the main priority of the A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association was to keep these events under wraps from the public.
The First Malourian Incursion
A few short years after the Dawn of Heroes, on the alien planet of Lauria, the Corestone project fell into chaos as the government originally commissioned to create the powers began making moves to abuse them. One of the developers betrayed the project and stole the Corestone of Mutation, resulting in his transformation into Xiuhcoatl. Lord Valarico Gideon, last remaining scientist of the project, hastily retrieved the rest of the Cores and fled through a stargate to Earth. Xiuhcoatl and his mercenary army, the Maloury, pursued Valarico and shot him out of the sky, whence he crashed to the planet’s surface.

A group of friends including Callum Cato, his brother Raymond, Brian Drake and Valorie Wyld witnessed the space shuttle crash into a nearby grove of trees. Eager to investigate, they all ventured into the woods to discover the alien spacecraft and it’s wounded pilot, Valarico. Valarico, desperate to prevent the Corestones from falling into the hands of the malevolent Maloury faction, bestowed them to each one of the happenstance teens, transforming Callum, Raymond, Brian and Valorie into the heroes of the Xero Squadron. Together they fended off the first incursion of the Maloury, and later spent time training themselves into living weapons that they might defend their home and their lives.

Archer and his association and the T.A.R.R.G.E.T.T. Agency took a notable interest in the squad and began working closely with them to protect them from the alien invaders and give them space to refine their abilities. Widespread news of the incursion prompted the world to ready defenses in anticipation of another invasion. The Maloury, however, retreated for the time being, and the T.A.R.R.G.E.T.T. Agency took to the world stage to educate world leaders on the legitimate precautions necessary for another invasion. General criminal activity skyrocketed following the revelation of alien invaders.
The Syndication
The Syndication is a brief period of time during and after the First Malourian Incursion when individuals began grouping up and forming allegiances to assist one another. This is when the villainous Blue Market formed, but also when prospects of a superhero team began to show. The A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association received more financing from the federal government after the First Incursion; this is also when Crossbow joined the association as Archer’s Executive Enforcer.
The Apocalypse

S.K.U.L.L., strengthened by their Blue Market connections but still recovering from the Archer’s attack, started on more advanced and ludicrous experimentations. The first of these was a trial on Thomas Fleck, a man with degenerative heart disease. They gave Fleck cybernetic enhancements designed by Weaponizer. During the operation, however, Fleck awoke from his anesthesia and began rampaging. Escaping the lab into the streets of Wofleboro, he began destroying nearby property, unable to control his newfound powers in his delirious state. For the first time since the Dawn of Heroes, vigilantes from all walks of life banded together to form the Peacemakers and stop Fleck’s rampage in an event so calamitous it was officially branded the Apocalypse of Wolfeboro.

Danna Shepard, Fleck’s then fiancée, proved to be the only one capable of cutting through his delirium and helping settle him down. A.R.C.H.E.R.S. then restrained Fleck, sedating him. Fleck was incarcerated and underwent tests under Archer’s supervision while the government debated what to do with him. Finally deciding to transfer him to Area 281-01 where he could be held in a more remote and secure location, Fleck was packaged up and flown cross-country (a decision which the A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association heavily disagreed with).
After Fleck’s display of power, S.K.U.L.L. used the foundations of his abilities to construct two new super soldiers named Eclypse and Abaddon. Fleck’s previous fiancée, Danna Shepard, volunteered for project Eclypse and used her powers to free Thomas, as she thought the government was out of line with their decision. She and Thomas successfully escaped and fell off the radar somewhere in the Midwest.
S.K.U.L.L.’s other soldier, Abaddon, proved so powerful that only a reformed Fleck and the newly assembled Peacemakers could handle him in what came to be known as the Apocalypse of Portsmouth. After Abaddon’s defeat, S.K.U.L.L. went back into hiding, though their manufacturing of metahumans didn’t cease. The Peacemakers–consisting then of Wolf-Man, Visionary, Archer, Stalker, Redclaw, and Psycho–agreed to reunite should another super-disaster ever threaten to rear its head. Thomas Fleck retired from the superhero scene and went to marry Danna Shepard.
The Bloodmoon
During the events of the Bloodmoon, Archer brought in the Xero Squadron to help evaluate an artifact recently moved from Area 281-01. It was the Tachyon Shard, a malformation of existential energy similar in nature to the Corestones. A.R.C.H.E.R.S. had possession of the artifact for the sake of testing and further examination.
S.K.U.L.L., in a last ditch effort to recoup power and resources, reached out to remaining members of the Black Cross and offered to free the Death Herald from his prison in the Serpent. With the help of others from the Blue Market, S.K.U.L.L. and the Black Cross successfully freed the Death Herald and promptly launched a coordinated strike on then A.R.C.H.E.R.S.’ headquarters, stealing the Tachyon Shard in the process.
The Shard enhanced Death Herald’s abilities tenfold, and he sought to use the artifact to forcibly carve out a new world order. The Peacemakers, now allied with Blitz and the immortals Arshaka and Mykala, reunited to engage the threat. Death Herald made a spectacle of his power and temporarily opened gateways to alternate pseudo-realities and paracausal timelines. With the threat level rising every minute, Mykala chose to manually sever Death Herald’s connection to the Shard, a move that succeeded in eliminating the threat at the cost of her life. Mykala left her brother, Arshaka, the last and oldest immortal in the world.
After the Bloodmoon crisis, the A.R.C.H.E.R.S. Association came forward in the public eye to officially announce the existence of superheroes. Members of the Wolf Pack, Xero Squad, and Peacemakers were granted temporary power by the government to enforce the law in their local jurisdictions as Congress and the Senate set about reforming and passing new statutes to handle the integration and existence of superhumans.
