The Planet Modonou is inhabited by a race of bipedal humanoids known as the Yurathiens (Your-A-thee-ins). Yurathiens are water dwelling beings and therefore have an anatomy similar to a fish, but also to a mammal. Yurathiens are very unique in the way that they have both lungs and gills, enabling them to breath both in and out of water. Yurathiens are also incredibly intelligent, using about 35% more brain power than humans do.

Yurathiens’ have hollow bones for increased speed under water, and they are, on average, twice as strong as humans. They have 1.1% body fat and rarely weigh over 220 lbs. And Yurathiens’ lifespans are typically three times that of the average human, though they’ve been known to live longer.
